This past Thursday, Tawny appeared in the first episode of Celebrity Rehab, Season 2.
Tawny sort of comes into this show implying that she is sober. Dr. Drew says that she is in denial.
“It’s very common. People call themselves sober and they’re still smoking pot or taking sleeping pills or anti-anxiety medication and their disease is alive and well.” -Dr. Drew, in reference to Tawny
The good doctor then went on to state that part of the problem is that pharmaceutical meds are not stigmatizd in the same way that illegal street-drugs are.
“Bottom line is that addicts will take any opportunity. That’s how the disease works.”

Wish I knew how to send her an email, but I’m sure she has bigger issues to deal with right now. I’ve been watching that show & am learning this show & friends I know that breaking loose of that kind of addiction is no walk in the park to say the least, if not a major understatement. I haven’t lived it so I can’t speak to it. She sounds like she could be a really cool person if she would just give herself a chance.

You need to find a photograph of yourself before you were abused, when you were a child, that shows you smiling; truly happy, before any damage occured. Keep this with you. You will find peace in it. This is the real you. Your life just took a detour.
I just saw her on another current episode, I think the picture idea is a great one. How many of the people making fun of these people have lived through what they are. showing me the person behind the persona takes a lot more guts then their given credit for.
